Giving gifts is a love language of mine. Finding the perfect gift for someone, knowing they will love it, and seeing that expression on their face when they open it is everything.
This makes holidays and birthdays so SO special, but it also makes it difficult because I can’t just buy anything… I have to find the perfect thing.
I recently started following a few brands that give back when you buy their products; they either employ people that would otherwise have a hard time getting a job, or they donate a product or part of the proceeds to better others in need.
I think this concept is the BEST because I personally no longer feel guilty for caving into my gift giving addiction, AND it is helping others at the same time. #winning!
So I put together a list of the companies that I have found that give back in a certain way. I have already used a few of these this year with my Christmas shopping and it makes it even more fun, if that’s even possible!
FEED Projects
When you purchase one of their bags, it provides 10 school meals for children around the world. They also have jewelry and other products that employ international artisans while still donating meals!
The Giving Keys

Their mission: With each purchase, you create employment opportunities for people transitioning out of homelessness. These gifts are also very fun because they are meant to be passed on from one person to another, bringing us together.
Children Of The Nations

If you have someone to buy a gift for, but they already have everything (or they are really hard to buy for) then why not give to someone in need on their behalf? There are a bunch of gifts that are $25 and under that could really make a difference in the life of someone less fortunate. For example: $10 could buy a bible, a blanket or a backpack for a child in a developing country!!
State Bags

“For every State bag purchased, State hand-delivers a backpack – packed with essential tools for success – to a local child in need.”
Bridge Water Candles

For every jar candle, holiday candle and Sweet Grace Collection candle sold, this company donates 3 meals through their partnership with Ricebowls.org, an organization that feed orphans around the world.
Love Your Melon

This company’s mission is to improve the lives of children that are fighting cancer. They donate 50% of all their profits to nonprofit companies that fight cancer.
Hand in Hand Soap

This company is on a mission to provide soap and clean water to developing countries through their “buy a bar, give a bar & clean water” programs. For every bar of soap purchased, they donate a bar of soap and one month of clean water to a child in need!
.
These are just a few that I have found and like, but I am sure there are a bunch more out there that are amazing! If you know of one, please comment below and share!
