I normally use this space to share things that are circling my mind and heavy on my heart, but recently I have come across a few different blogs and articles that I have enjoyed reading and I’d like to start sharing them on here maybe once a month!

A Blog:
A few months ago I started following the blog Stuff & Guff and I can honestly say that I look forward to her Monday morning posts that automatically get sent to my inbox. She talks about life, musings, New York (which I am obsessed with) and always shares new articles to read or songs to listen to. Here is a recent post on mindfulness that she wrote.
Collagen Info:
I have had a few people ask why collagen is a big deal and why I use it daily. This article breaks down what it is and what it does! It really is an awesome and easy boost to a beauty routine! Also, if you are interested in purchasing some, here is a link that allows you to buy from my site: https://www.teambeachbody.com/shop/d/BeachbodyCollagenBoost?referringRepID=1465550
Mom Encouragement:
“I don’t have to be a perfect mom because Jesus was perfect in my place.”
mic drop.
Seriously, this idea has been floating around in and out of my mind the past few weeks and as I have had multiple days recently that have brought me to tears, I feel the weight of how far I fall below the bar that I have set as the “perfect version” of myself as a mother. As I watch my kid in his humanity, I am brought to my knees with my own and realize how much I desperately need to lean on the Lord for His wisdom, patience and grace on a daily basis.
This article includes a 2 min video that is really encouraging. If you are a mom… go read it.
Dinner Ideas:
Why is it so hard to come up with dinner ideas?? It’s like every day at 3 pm I am surprised that no one has told me what the plan is, and then I remember that I am the one coming up with the plan.
That’s a lot of responsibility! I never quite understood until I was the wife/mom, which makes me want to take a moment here and say “Shoutout to my mom, Donna Gay, who had dinner on the table at 6pm every night while I was growing up!”
I recently read this article: Reclaiming Dinner | Invest in Your Family’s Mind, Body, and Soul. Now, if the title alone doesn’t make you want to read it, we might not be as close as I thought!
Included in the article are some recipes and a few printable links too… and who doesn’t love a good printable?
Fall Routine:
I honestly can’t believe that Summer is already coming to a close. Today is crisp and windy and it is getting me excited for fall and I’m also looking forward to having a bit more of a routine, especially with the birth of our second on the way.
The EveryMom Blog just posted an article called,
7 Habits to Start Now to Get Back Into a Routine After Summer
Some of these ideas may be helpful, and others not, but I personally love reading these lists and handpicking the ones that I think my family and I can benefit from the most.
A Book I’m Reading:
Every morning I like to read a chapter (or part of one) in a personal development book. These types of books really do make me strive to be the best version of myself. Currently, I am reading, “The Miracle Morning: The 6 Habits that will Transform Your Life Before 8am” by Hal Elrod. I am only about halfway through, but I love it so far and would already say that it is worth the read!
.
Okay, that is it for today! I hope some of these links, blogs and articles meet you where you are and provide some helpful and enjoyable tidbits to carry with you this week.
Happy Monday friends!
