The progression of this nursery was something a bit unusual for me.
As many of you know, our family is currently living with my father-in-law, in the home that my husband grew up in. We are feeling SO blessed to be living here right now and feel it is exactly where we are meant to be. It is temporary though, so when it came to the idea of creating a nursery for our baby girl, June (who is due next month), the process went something like this:
-I don’t think we will make a nursery this time —> OH EM GEE IT’S A GIRL —> *Pinterest searching* —> “Mason, this is what I want her nursery to look like!!” —> *nesting, nesting, nesting* —> Putting my mom and Mason to work —> The final reveal!!!
So, as you can see, it really took on a life of it’s own and I am so happy we ended up making June her own little space, even if it is temporary (which Mason had to keep reminding me of as I tend to get a vision and then get out.of.control).
Here are a few pictures of how it turned out!

One of the first purchases we made was this mirror. We found it at an antique shop in Milton, DE and I fell in love with it. I’m not sure if Mason really loved it as much as I did, but let’s be honest, he really didn’t have a choice.
The changing table/dresser is from Wayfair, the 3-tier basket holder is from Home Goods. I got the shelves from Target, and her name puzzle was a gift from her Aunt Summer and Uncle Madison, which was purchased here!

I went back and forth on what type of chair I wanted for her room. I have always loved rocking chairs, but since purchasing a glider with a matching ottoman for Ford’s room, I’ve realized how practical and comfortable those are! So, this glider/ottoman is from Wayfair as well. The blanket (which is my fave color right now) is from Target. Side table was purchased at Home Goods and the beautiful Dream Catcher on the wall was custom made as a gift from my dear friend Laura.

I had ordered what I thought was a fake fiddle leaf fig for her room, but it turns out I ordered a real one! Hah! Joke is on THAT plant! Poor thing… any guesses how long it will survive?? JK, I will try my best this time. For June!
The rug was another antique store purchase and I honestly have never seen a more perfect rug for this space! My mother-in-law gave me the macramé hangings as a gift for her room and at this point, I have realized that the people that know me, REALLY know me, because I couldn’t have picked out better ones myself! My in-laws had this crib at the house and have graciously let us use it while we are living here, so we didn’t need to purchase a crib this round, which is really nice! We did end up getting a new mattress for her crib though and we chose this one, which feels like a dream and I kinda wish they made it in an adult version!

This crib sheet is from CadenLane.com. They make beautiful baby accessories that you can personalize and I couldn’t help it. The pillow in her crib was a gift from my friend Erica. She had it custom made with vintage materials and then embroidered with her name. I can honestly say that this little girl has gotten some of the coolest gifts I’ve ever seen. The Little doll is from Cuddle + Kind. This company donates 10 meals to children in need for every doll purchased!

My mom had this sign made for Baby June’s Sprinkle in California and it was so beautiful I knew we had to include it in her room. It was made by Laura, a family friend! Her instagram name is @signsofgrace and this is her online shop.
I purchased the Accordion rack from an instagram account that is an online market. You can look at some of the things for sale here. I knew I wanted one for her room right from the beginning, so I can hang a ridiculous amount of things on it and take lots of pictures – as you can see – (and hopefully actually use it for what it’s designed for haha)
Starting from the left and moving to the right:
- Wooden hanging: Hobby Lobby
- Tan Wrap: SollyBaby.com
- Bows were purchased on Etsy here
- Onesie was purchased at Gymboree (before they went out of business)
- Pacifier clip macramé holders were a gift from my friend Sarah
- Vintage Floral Muslin Swaddle Blanket is from Mebiebaby.com
- Macramé hanging was purchased at Pigment in San Diego
- The My Family personalized book was made by a dear friend Aunt Sudie especially for June

This bookshelf area in her room is one of my favorite spots we put together. The sign above the books was made by my mom. The bookshelves were purchased from Ikea and my wonderful husband put them together and hung them for me. Most of the books you see here were purchased by friends and family and a few were impulse buys by yours truly because I love books so much and hope to pass that on to my littles.

Okay. No. This is my favorite part of her room.
My mom and dad made this teepee for June by hand. My dad used PVC pipe and painted them and constructed the body and then my mom sewed (yes, she sewed this!!) the covering and put together the flower topper. The amount of creativity my parents have between the two of them is astounding and I am always in awe of the things they create! Also, the fact that my mom transported this to Delaware for me is amazing in and of itself!
I want to use this area as a little play place for June as she grows and then eventually use it as a reading nook (that is, if Ford doesn’t destroy it before that time).
Okay! That is it!
I hope you all enjoyed a little tour of her room and thank you to all the hands the helped, the ideas that were shared, the encouragement given and the sweet gifts that were lavished on June and our family in preparation for her. We really have the best friends and family anyone would ask for.
